Review : A few major design flaws
Functionally there's absolutely nothing wrong with this HDD. It is fast and does exactly what it's supposed to. However there a two design problems that mean I wouldn't buy it again.
1. the piece at the end which you can replace a different type of connection (thunderbolt, firewire) is way too flimsy to be fully trusted if the HDD is being carried around a lot (even in the case). constant connecting and disconnecting it will very soon make it not hold in place properly. Plus when you want to uplug the USB you have to hold this piece or it will detach instead of the cable.
2. there are no small rubber feet to keep in from sliding on the table. It never occurred to me that somebody would make a hdd which slides across any surface like crazy. Again maybe not a problem for some. But if you plan to use it for work and important data, be aware, that you'll be constantly scared that someone bumps to table and the drive will just slide off.
