12/8/12 - After much research on the web, I recently I bought a Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Film Scanner from Amazon to convert my old 35mm slides and some negative film to digital format.

The item was delivered promptly and upon opening the box was just what I required, a scanner with a small footprint. All good so far.

Following the instructions I installed the printer drivers and associated software, SilverFast 8 SE Plus processing package. Silverfast 8 SE Plus was one of the main reasons I bought this item as it comes highly praised.

The scanner worked fine with the supplied drivers and Plustek scanning software, but when I attempted to use Silverfast 8 SE Plus the problems began. Basically the program won't run. Thinking that I had perhaps made an error in the installation procedure I uninstalled and reinstalled the complete package.
