Review : Not for use in PVR
The hard drive itself is probably fine, however I bought it to replace one which had failed in my PVR (TV hard drive recorder). Unfortunately it doesn't work properly - there's continual jumping and sound and video get out of sync. After further research it is because PC hard drives do a lot of error-checking to ensure data duplication is perfect. This causes them to be slower than those produced for PVRs which do not need to error-check data being displayed on the TV. Therefore do not use PC hard drives in PVRs
