Review : epson printers its the ink cartridge rip-off WARNING
I recently purchased an epson. Very soon ran out of ink. Got compatible tesco ink cartriges to find they didn't work. It seems Epson have a chip which knows when a cartridge has been used a certain number of times. After this it informs you your out of ink. (I can still hear liguid in my epson cartridges). My new Tesco compatible replacemnts are supposedly empty. Other work collegues have found the same with other Epson printers. See loads of social sites reporting the same. You think your are getting a bargain on an Epson printer but its the ink cartridges which are Epson's cash cow !! There is a ink cartridge resetter item you can purchase from Ebay which confuses the chip. I have not got it yet as I am deciding to purchase a different make of printer.
Just to say you have been warned.
