I bought this unit to records vynyl albums through my laptop.

On connecting to the laptop the sound crackled and popped until the soundblaster cut out. On connecting the soundblaster through a seperate usb hub to the laptop all now seems fine. Didn't find the manual any help with this problem, just my own trial and error, although Creative's customer site is very useful.

Once you get it set up for recording then it works fine, but you will need better software for cleaning up the music and tagging the tracks.

Overall a good unit but let down by not working quite as it should and documentation.
